Four skills that usually take four separate suppliers — ISO certification, trademarks and patents, engineering, software — meet here in a single point of contact. Our clients stop chasing suppliers who never speak to one another: one reference point holds the standard, the technical design and the digital tool together, and makes them talk instead of leaving them in pieces.

We have been called into nine countries, across Europe and Asia, certifying companies as far afield as Germany, Russia and Indonesia. That experience was not built out of textbooks but on the ground, in different industrial and cultural settings, where a management system has to work for real and not merely survive the inspection. This is the strength beneath every project: we do not only know the standards — we bring to them the hand of someone who designs plant and structures, writes bespoke software, has stood on the shop floor and knows how a factory runs.

On that footing a management system changes character. It stops being an archive of paperwork to produce at the audit and becomes a lens that brings the company into focus: it shows where the hours go, where the costs swell, where production jams. Certification then follows of its own accord — the result of work done well, not the reason for doing it.

• We know the sectors, not just the standards. Construction, engineering, IT, manufacturing. A management system written by someone who understands the production process is a different thing from one written by someone who only knows the standard.
• The system stays with the company. We build something the people inside the company can use and keep running. If you still want us afterwards, it is because we are useful — not because the system stops without us.
• International experience. Projects in Switzerland, Italy, Germany, France, Romania, Moldova, China, Indonesia and Russia. If you have suppliers or clients abroad, it is not new ground for us.

Before I became a consultant I spent 25 years in industry: production and quality manager, plant designer, head of information systems. I know what it takes to keep a company running day after day, with its deadlines, its mounting costs and its processes seizing up. I dealt with those problems myself long before I met them in a client's paperwork.

That experience is where my way of working comes from. I work alongside companies, from the small family firm to the established corporation, helping them build ISO management systems that work in practice and not only on paper. I take the same approach to mechanical and structural engineering, software development, trademarks and patents: different skills, but one way of going about them — that of someone who knows processes from the inside.
